GREAT AMERICAN MEATOUT 2010

South Florida is once again going to participate in the F.A.R.M Great American Meatout. The event will be March 21, from 10 AM - 5 PM at the **new** Power Bazaar and Marketplace, 8399 N University Dr, Tamarac, FL 33321. See our Mission Statement. See the YouTube ad for Meatout. See the article in the Sun Sentinel

Power Bazaar and Marketplace is in the same giant warehouse as Furniture Power on the west side of University, south of Southgate, just south of the bowling alley.  The sign may still have the old name - Pangea Marketplace. There is a farmers market in the front (side facing University).  There is a HUGE parking lot to the south side and back. You can enter from University, south of the bazaar, and also from NW 82 St into the parking lot south of the bazaar.

Admission to the GAM is FREE. This event is a public outreach to introduce the general population to vegetarianism, including free literature, free food sampling, vendors and exhibits.

Our goal is to actively bring the community together for a day of education and fun in order to raise the awareness of how important it is as to what we eat, and where we get that food from. We will be gathering together a host of organizations that include medical practitioners, healthy food producers, and informational groups, that will allow people to question and sample food and products that help make this world a safer, healthier, and more compassionate place to live.

You’ll enjoy strolling the aisles, viewing displays on food production and healthy eating, or stop and have your blood pressure or cholesterol levels checked. You’ll be able to sample food from the many vendors and manufacturers making good, delicious, and nutritious things for us to eat, or just watch videos and enjoy other interactive activities on the day.

The whole event is free to the public, and any profits made on the day will go to help the devastation to both the human and animal populations of the island of Haiti.

We invite everyone to come and enjoy this special day of learning and compassionate awareness. Thank you!
